Commission a Painting
Looking for a one-of-a-kind piece created especially for you?
I take on a limited number of commissions each year, allowing me to work closely with each client and create thoughtful, highly personal artworks. Whether you're drawn to expressive abstract paintings, atmospheric landscapes, or something inspired by a particular memory, colour palette, or feeling, I'd love to hear your ideas.
We'll work together to discuss the size, colours, mood, and inspiration behind the piece. Some clients come to me with a clear vision, while others simply know how they want the artwork to feel within their space. Either way, I'll guide you through the process and create a painting that is both unique to you and true to my artistic style.
Materials
I predominantly work with high-quality oil paints on deep-edge stretched cotton or linen canvas (3.5–4 cm). Each canvas has clean white edges and comes with hanging fixings, so your painting is ready to hang — no frame needed.
Prefer a frame? These canvases also look beautiful in floating frames, and there are plenty of framing options available to suit your space. See below for more framing info!
Pricing
The price of your custom painting depends on its size and complexity. Below are starting prices for some standard sizes. This is a general guide - once we’ve discussed your idea, I’ll provide a quote based on your specific requirements.

Deposit & Payment
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required before I begin work on your painting. This secures your place in my commission calendar and covers materials and preparation.
Once the deposit is received:

I’ll begin your painting and keep you updated with progress.

When you're happy with the final piece, the remaining balance is due before delivery or collection.
Payment is made via bank transfer upon receipt of an invoice.
Timescale
Timeframes vary depending on the size and style of your piece. Most large commissions are currently completed within 4 months.
If you're working towards a specific date or special occasion, please get in touch before booking and I'll let you know whether I can accommodate your deadline.

Framing Artwork
If you would like your painting framed, there are plenty of options to choose from. However you can't go wrong with white or black. Below are some examples of framed artwork. A white wooden frame is perfect for enhancing the brightness of the paint and goes in any setting, while a black frame adds intensity and really makes the painting stand out on the wall. The price of frame depends on style of frame and size of painting. We can discuss framing options before starting the piece or you can decide once you've seen the finished painting!
